The Virtues of Holy Durood.
Divine blessings on Holy Prophet Sallallaho alaihi wasallam of Islam is the highest & the meritorious act in Islam. It is called “Holy Durood”(Salawat).
Holy Durood is given below in numerous styles & different forms each has its own peculiar significance & reward. They have been taught by the Holy Prophet Sallallaho alaihi wasallam on different eves. All Duroods are salutations on our Holy Prophet Sallallaho alaihi wasallam.
“Undoubtedly, Allah & His Angels send blessings on the Prophet the communicator of unseen NEWS, o YOU WHO BELIEVE! SEND UPON BLESSINGS & SALUTE HIM FULLY WELL IN ABUNDANCE.”
Recitation of Holy Durood daily has ineffable effect on human head & heart, mind & person. It purifies thoughts & intensifies actions. It makes passage for perfect peace & personal satisfaction.
All remediless patients & all the cureless are advised to recite the Holy Durood daily atleast 313 times after Isha Salaah (or any time during day & night).
Holy Prophet Sallallaho alaihi wasallam has said very clearly that Durood is the panacea of all ills & “if any one comes across a calamity he should recite Holy Durood in maximum number.” Allah has promised that if a man recites Durood once, He showers ten blessings on the reciter immediately.
1. Durood-e-Ibrahimi. (The famous companion of Holy Prophet Sallallaho alaihi wasallam Hazrat Qaib Raziallahu ta’ala anhu says that once it was inquired from Holy Prophet Sallallaho alaihi wasallam as to how blessings be sent on him. The Holy Prophet Sallallaho alaihi wasallam replied that theblessings be said in a manner it has been mentioned below, that is Durood-e-Ibrahimi).
“Allahumma salli ala sayyidina Muhammadinw wa’ala ali sayyidina Muhammadin kama sallayta ala sayyidin Ibrahima wa’ala ali sayyidina Ibrahima innaka hameedum majeed.
Allahumma barik ala sayyidina Muhammadinw wa’ala ali sayyidina Muhammadin kama barakta ala sayyidina Ibrahima wa’ala ali sayyidina Ibrahima innaka hameedum majeed.
2. Durood-e-Shafa’ee. (Hazrath Imam Shafa’ee Raziallahu ta’ala anhu was in habit of reciting this Salawat by the blessing of this Salawat, he was protected from reckoning).
“Allahumma salli ala Muhammadin kullama zakarahuz zakiroona wasalli ala Muhammadin kullama gafala an’zikrihil gafiloon.”
3. Durood-e-Dawami. (Reciting this Durood once 600,000 reward of Durood is gifted).
“Allahumma salli ala sayyidina wa maulana Muhammadin adada mafee ilmil lahi salatan da’imatan bidawami mulkillah.”
4. Durood-e-Shafa’at. (The Holy Prophet Sallallaho alaihi wasallam said, who ever recites this Holy Durood my intercession is obligatory on him). At’targeeb –wat-tarheeb.
“Allahumma salli ala Muhammadinw wa’anzilhul maq’adal muqarrab indaka yaumal qiyamah.”
5. Durood-e-qur’ani. (After reciting the Holy Qur’an recite this Holy Durood)
“Allahumma salli ala sayyidina Muhammadinw wa alihee wasahbihee wasallim bi’adadi mafi jamee’il qur’ani harfan harfanw wabi’adadi kulli harfin alfan alfan alfa.”
6. Durood-e-Hillil Mushkilaat. (Many of our noble Predecessors of Islam would recite this Durood during difficulties. It is regarded as one of the most important Duroods).
“Allahumma salli wa sallim wa baarik ‘alaa sayyedina Muhammadin qad daa qat heelatee adriknee yaa Rasool Allah, Sallallaho alaihi wasallam.”
Translation: “o Allah send bleesings upon our master Muhammad Sallallaha alaihi wasallam, yaa Rasool Allah Sallallaho alaihi wasallam, help me as my attempts & means have failed.”
7. Durood-e-Kamaaliyah. (If a person suffers from loss of memory, should keep reciting it from Magrib to Isha Salaah without a limit on quantity, Insha Allah their memory will improve, & reciting it one time earns the reward of reciting it 70 thousand times).
“Allahumma salli wa sallim wa barik ala sayyidina Muhammadinin nabiyyil kamili wa’ala alihee kama la nihayatal li kamalika wa’adada kamalih.”
8. Durood-e-Razviya. ( Five thousand reward will be entered into his book of deeds, & five thousand of his sins will be wiped away. Love for him will be installed in people’s heart).
“Sallallaho ‘alan nabiyyil ummiyyi wa aalihi Sallallaho alaihi wasallam, Salaataw wa salaaman ‘alayka yaa Rasool Allah Sallallaho alaihi wasallam.”
9. Durood-e-Shifa. (Physical & spiritual illness are cured).
“Allahumma salli ala sayyidina wa maulana Muhammadin tibbil quloobi wadawa’iha wa afiyatil abdani washifa’iha wa’nooril absari wadhiya’iha wa’ala alihee wasahbihee wasallim.”
10. Durood-e-Sadqa. (will prosper in wealth).
“Allahumma salli ala sayyidina Muhammadin abdika wa’alal mu’mineena wal mu’minati wal muslimeena wal muslimat.”
11. Durood-e-Noor. (By reciting this Holy Durood the heart gets illuminated).
“Allahumma salli ala sayyidina Muhammadin nooril anwari wa’sirril asrari wasayyidil abrar.”
12. Durood-e-Vali. (Whosoever recites it 80 times after Asr salaah on Friday his 80 years of sins are forgiven by the grace of Allah). Al-Qaul-ul-Badie.
“Allahumma salli ala sayyidina Muhammadinin nabiyyil ummiyyi wa’ala alihee wasallim.”
